Privacy Policy

Stance on Palestine (https://stanceonpalestine.com) is a community-built directory of public figures and their publicly documented positions on Palestine. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. You can reach us at any time at haseeb.mohammed001@gmail.com.

• Account data (if you sign in): when you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use these only to identify your account and show you as signed in.
• Votes: which figures you upvoted "For Palestine" or "For Israel". Your individual votes are stored against your account so you can change or remove them; the public site only shows aggregate counts.
• Submissions: the details you send us when submitting a figure or a timeline statement, including an optional email address if you'd like to be kept informed.
• Technical data: standard request logs (IP address, browser type) kept by our hosting provider for security and to prevent abuse.

We do not sell your data, we do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we do not post anything to your Google or Microsoft account. Signing in never gives us access to your emails, contacts, or files.

• To keep you signed in and let you vote once per figure.
• To review and publish community submissions.
• To keep the site secure and prevent vote manipulation.

Sign-in is handled by Google and Microsoft OAuth; we never see your password. The site is hosted on Lovable's platform with its database provided by Supabase. These providers process data only on our instructions to run the service.

We use only the strictly necessary browser storage (a session token) required to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

• Sign out / delete account: email us at haseeb.mohammed001@gmail.com and we will delete your account, votes and any personal data.
• Change or remove a vote: press the other button, or press your current choice again to take it back.
• Access or correction: email us and we'll show you what we hold about you.

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be announced on the site.
